AH 138 - Basic Medical Coding This course provides an introduction to the essential concepts and practices of medical coding. Students will learn how to accurately assign codes to diagnoses, procedures, and services using standardized coding systems, including ICD-10 (International Classification of Diseases, 10th Edition.) CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), and HCPCS (Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System). The course covers the fundamental principles of medical terminology, anatomy, and healthcare documentation, which are crucial for understanding and applying the correct codes.
